The dancing is organised by the Howick Club with the Auckland Region. 

The Howick Military Tattoo is an all-day event.  This year they have grouped all the Scottish activities together. 

  • Dancers meet at 10.30am to walk through dances before the performance.
  • 11am  The official opening and ceremony (speeches, anthem and Flower of Scotland)
  • Followed by pipe and brass bands and highlander dancers.
  • 11.45  Scottish Country Dancers are scheduled at 11.45am for 10 minutes .

The rest of the programme includes a number of performances (such as Clan Celtica, re-enactments, highland games type activities, military displays etc). 

The dances will be:
 

  • Andrew and Gordon's Jig
  • 12 Coates Crescent                          
  •  The Barmkin                            

 Please let Evelyn or Beverley know the names of people able to dance by Friday 13 February.

When the sets have been finalised they will be emailed to all those taking part, along with details about where to meet for the walk through ? it will definitely be in the shade.
