The Auckland Highland Games are being held on Saturday, November 19^th

Three Kings Reserve, corner of Mt Eden and Mt Albert Roads.

This is a whole day of activity with dancing in 2 brackets, around early afternoon and mid-afternoon – precise times to be confirmed but usually one hour apart.

For Scottish country dancing there will be a mass display of sets in traditional set formation, and it includes dancers from elementary to very advanced. The main criterion is dancing rhythmically with other people.

The dances:

Details of the dances are below, with the number of times these will be danced through each. The Linton Ploughman will be danced 3 times, (top 2 and bottom 2 couples, then middle couples, then top and bottom couples again). None of the dances are difficult.

                                    This will be followed by a dance in a square set:
